Narasimha Monolith Temple/ Lakshmi Narasimha Temple

With a height of 6.7 metres, it is one of the largest monolithic statues in Hampi. It is located on the southwest side of the Krishna Temple. It was built during the Krishnadevaraya reign in 1528 AD.

Krishna Temple

Built in 1513 AD by King Krishnadevaraya, this is another temple which displays extraordinary craftsmanship. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna as an infant, Bala Krishna. The idol is now at the state museum of Chennai.

Hemakuta Hill Temple

It is a cluster of temple ruins, still showcasing the architectural grandeur of pre-Vijayanagara and Vijayanagara era. Many of the temples at this hill are dedicated to Lord Shiva. View from here is also enticing.

Queen's Bath

As the name suggests, it was built as a bathing chamber for the royals of Vijayanagara Dynasty. This magnificent structure has an ornate interior with detailed carvings, while its exterior is comparatively plain.

Mahanavami Platform

It is located inside the royal enclosure. It was built in 1513 AD by King Krishnadevaraya, in the Vijayanagara style of architecture. It is a grand platform with a height of 12 metres, which was built after the successful capture of the kingdom of Udayagiri.

Hazara Rama Temple

A private temple of Lord Rama for the Kings of Vijayanagara Dynasty, it was built by King Devaraya II in the early 15th century. This temple can be accessed through two gateways. There is also a lawn on one of its sides. Another attractive feature of this temple are the panels and relics, carved with stories from the Ramayana.

Lotus Temple

Also known as Chitragani Mahal, it is a two storied structure which was often used by the royal family members of the Vijayanagara Empire. This captivating monument is shaped like a half open lotus flower. The dome is in the shape of a lotus bud, while the archways resemble flower petals.

Elephant Stable

It is a complex with 11 chambers, which were used to keep the royal Elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire. One of the very few monuments which didn’t face any destruction during Sultanate rule, its chambers with domes are decorated with carvings. The centre chamber is the biggest of all.
