It’s located close to Kodanda Rama Temple, and it’s the top spot for a long coracle ride in Hampi. People believe it to be the holiest bathing spot in the Tungabhadra River. It’s also considered to be one of the most sacred spots in Hampi.
2. Hippie Island Ferry Point: Another popular way to enjoy a coracle ride is to ride to Hippie Island on the other side of the river. The ferry point is at the ghat adjacent to Virupaksha Temple. Best Time to do Hampi Coracle Riding
While the boats are available throughout the day, the best time for a coracle ride at Hampi is early morning or late evening. During these hours, the temperature is low and the breeze is soothing, making your ride comfortable and pleasant.
The winter (November – February) is the most suitable time to visit Hampi. Avoid the rainy season (July – August), as coracle rides aren’t available during heavy rains.
